It was here that a deciding battle took place, when King Kamehameh came from Maui and triumphantly drove the troops of the chief of Oahu into the mountains, the result of which formed the political union of the Hawaiian Islands. In winter, the world’s best surfers collect on Sunset Beach, attracted by spectacular waves, some of which reach as high as the tallest church steeples. On the island of Kaua’i, the Wailua is Hawaii’s only navigable river and it flows through some of the exciting locations which were used for Jurassic Park, Raiders Of The Lost Ark and Blue Hawaii. Two volcanoes dominate the extraordinary island of Maui, which also features sandy beaches, green pastures, dense jungle and a bleak lunar-like landscape. On Waimea Beach in 1778, the English sea captain, James Cook, was the first European to set foot on Hawaiian territory. The Waimea Canyon was referred to by Mark Twain as ‘The Grand Canyon of the Pacific’, a massive gorge which has been carved out of the volcanic landscape by the Waimea River. From a Victorian style station there is the narrow-gauge Sugar Cane Train which travels through the once prolific sugar plantations of Kaanapali. Haleakale is the world’s largest dormant volcano with a crater as large as Manhattan. But nowhere else in the world can volcanoes be studied as safely as on Big Island in the Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park The Hawaiian Islands…priceless pearls in the Pacific Ocean.

https://www.expedia.com/Hawaii.d180074.Destination-Travel-Guides The “Big Island” of Hawaii is the largest of the Hawaiian Islands, and offers a fascinating and stunning array of beautiful scenery for you to explore. Sightseeing on Hawaii’s Big Island means your days will be filled with natural wonders: wander around a lava field, stroll through a tropical rainforest, and take a dip in the warm waters of the Pacific. To get the most out of your Hawaii Big Island tour and to get an idea of what areas you’d like to see up close, we suggest renting a car and exploring Hawaii’s Big Island from behind the wheel. The Onomea Bay Scenic Drive, located along the Hamakua Coast, will take you past shimmering emerald rainforest and astonishing glimpses of the tranquil Pacific Ocean. It’s the perfect place to get some pictures and see what the beauty of Hawaii is really about. No tour of Hawaii’s Big Island is complete without meeting the sea turtles of Kahalu’u Bay. Strap on your mask and snorkel, and swim around the warm, blue-green waters of the bay to get up close and personal with the turtles and thousands of other sea creatures. If hanging out with the sea life isn’t entirely your cup of tea, you can also try paddleboarding, jet skiing, or a variety of other watersports. Alternatively, you can spoil yourself in the time-honored indulgence of relaxing on the black lava sands, soaking up some of the legendary Hawaiian sunshine. What will you do on Hawaii’s Big Island? TRAVEL REPORT – UNITED UA936 HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT BOEING 777-200LR (first cabin) LOUNGE The United Club Lounge is located in the overseas terminal by Gate 9 on the 2nd floor. The lounge is visibly dated and is small. There is a quiet work area just off to the side of the lounge. The snack bar is small with many trays of food empty, there is water, juice, coffee, tea, nuts, fruit and cheese and crackers. There is a wine bar which has a small selection of wine and spirits. There is no kids zone or showers. The view of the apron Is superb with the large windows. You can get in only with a United Club or Star Alliance carrier membership. AIRCRAFT The 777-200 is a very common aircraft in the United long-haul fleet. United was the launch costumer of the 777 and currently operates the 777-200, but has orders for the 777-300ER. It has a range of 9,700 km. The registration of this aircraft is N213VA. SEAT The First cabin of the United 777 (Hawaii) is quite large, with 4 rows totaling 32 seats. The cabin is fresh with a separate boarding door for First passengers. The First seat is large and has a tray table, cocktail table, many storage compartments and an AC outlet for every seat. The seat comes with a large duvet, pillow and earbuds. The IFE is thru device streaming and in First they offer free tablets for the duration of the flight (see video). The seat is very comfortable and has a footrest and backrest which make an angled bed. On most flights, some sort of food is served; on my flight, there was a hot snack, but on other flights there is a meal served.

TRAVEL REPORT – AIR CANADA ROUGE AC1834 VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT BOEING 767-300ER (economy cabin) LOUNGE The transborder (US departure) Air Canada Maple Leaf lounge is a really well done lounge in my opinion. The buffet has many options from soup to salads, crackers and fruit - the drink selection has nothing special. The business centre is extensive and has a separate drink bar, there is a conference room with a table and chairs with power outlets and a telephone; it does not need to be reserved. There is no children’s centre in the lounge, but there is a really good newly renovated shower (as of summer 2016). Towels are provided for the shower. You can get in with a lounge pass and for guests traveling with someone who has a lounge pass it’s $15. AIRCRAFT The 767-300ER is the long haul workhorse of Air Canada Rouge’s fleet and is very common. It has a range of 10549 km (6554.84 m). SEAT The economy cabin on Rouge takes up most of the aircraft and is just like any other North American LCC. The entertainment system is thru your personal device and has a really good selection for a LCC. The pitch is fine and the recline is also fine. The configuration is 2-3-2 which is really good for couples or families of 3. There is the Rouge café service on board where you can purchase snacks and on some flights meals.

https://www.expedia.com/Cook-Islands.d41.Destination-Travel-Guides Situated at the very centre of Polynesia, the Cook Islands is an archipelago nation comprised of 15 islands. It is spread across an area in the South Pacific, three times the size of Texas.. Supremely beautiful, with pristine white sands fringed by coconut palms, the Cook Islands possess a castaway island magic and yet is only a four hour flight from New Zealand. According to legend, these tiny islands, dotted amongst the vast ocean, were discovered thousands of years ago by the very finest Polynesian seafarers. Guided by the stars and using other sophisticated navigation techniques, they landed their legendary double hulled Vakas and set about creating paradise. It is a rhythm you’ll feel as soon as you touch down in Raratonga, the largest island in the group. You could easily drive around this sparkling island in half an hour if you hurry, but that’s the charm of the Cook Islands….. no one does. It has been almost 250 years since Captain Cook became the first European to discover these islands and yet there is a gentle timelessness that endures here. Come and discover the generous rhythm and warm hospitality of the Cook Islands for yourself.

Watch all our TRIP REPORTS, Link in comments section below. Part 2/3: This is a Korean Air Flight Review of our Economy Class (Coach) Long Haul flight from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) to Incheon International Airport (ICN), South Korea's largest airport. Our flight is onboard a Korean Air Airbus A330 (Airbus A330-200) where the seat configuration is 2-4-2 in Economy Class and 2-2-2 in Business Class. This Korean Air Flight Review covers the walk to the gate at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport do the boarding of our Korean Air flight to Seoul. After boarding taxi begins out toward the runway and then we takeoff. Following takeoff we present the Korean Air Economy Class cabin, the Korean Air Economy Class seats, the Korean Air Inflight Entertainment System, Korean Air Inflight Meals, Korean Air Inflight Drinks, Korean Air Amenity Bag, Korean Air Duty Free shopping magazines, Korean Air Inflight magazine, Korean Air Onboard Safety Card, Korean Air Economy Class Lavatories. The video also includes our arrival at Seoul´s Incheon International Airport and our disembarkation from our Korean Air Airbus A330 (Airbus A330-200) Economy Class flight. OUR IMPRESSIONS: - The cabin crew onboard this flight were friendly professional and very efficient, we would go as far as to say, maybe the most efficient cabin crew we have ever experienced! - The inflight food and drink services were very good. Very noteworthy and appreciated was the bottle of water waiting for us at our seat when we came onboard. Both the dinner and breakfast served was good and as Westerners we were very happy to get the chance to try Bibimbap. The process of mixing it up on the tray was great fun and it contributed to making this flight a very memorable one. - The legroom was adequate comparable to competing Asian Airlines such as Thai Airways. Maro did miss having a foot rest for her feet (like the ones found on Thai Airways). - The inflight entertainment system was excellent and offered a very good selection of Western and Asian movies to keep us busy during the flight. We were especially happy to see that two external cameras were also available to show the view outside the aircraft. VERDICT: We enjoyed this flight from start to end. The efficient, friendly and very smartly dressed crew members created a positive atmosphere onboard and nothing was too much to ask for. Experiencing Bibimbap was one of the highlights of the flight, as it was a "unique" inflight meal. We can highly recommend this airline for your next flight to Asia. We look forward to flying Korean Air again! #tripreport #tripreports #flightreview #flightreviews #longhaul #KoreanAir #Economyclass #Flight #vlog #travel #travelvlog #aviation This Korean Air Flight Review footage is filmed by Maxi and Maro (Travel Vloggers) at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, onboard a Korean Air Airbus A330 (Economy Class cabin) and inside Seoul´s Incheon International Airport with our 4K Camcorder which can be seen on Amazon here: http://amzn.to/2tyK6D9 Wiki writes about Korean Air, "Korean Air Lines Co., Ltd., operating as Korean Air, is the largest airline and flag carrier of South Korea based on fleet size, international destinations and international flights..." ►How to Start a Travel Blog: https://migrationology.com/how-to-start-a-travel-blog/ ►How to Make Money While Traveling: https://migrationology.com/how-to-make-money-while-traveling/ The number one question I get asked is how I can afford to travel, while making money, and blogging. I'm going to answer how I make money, and also how I can afford to travel and eat in this video. Also, I'll share how I think you can do it too! There are many many ways to make money while traveling, and I have friends that are working on cruise ships, blogging, affiliate marketing, freelance writing, and even skydiving, while earning money to be able to maintain a lifestyle traveling. But instead of sharing all the ways on how to make money traveling, I'll first share the ways I make money. First I want to say that all of these ways that I make money while traveling are all the result of initially starting a blog back in 2009 and committing to writing quality and useful information on it on a regular basis. If you want to make money while traveling, I'd highly recommend you start a blog on whatever you're passionate about and begin blogging high quality useful information to show your expertise, and also connecting with others. (If you're just starting a travel blog, Travel Blog Success is an excellent course that I recommend: https://travelblogsuccess.com/?ref=18 [affiliate]) 1. Affiliate recommendations - This basically means earning a small commission as a referral. There are many companies (places like Amazon and Agoda.com for hotels) that offer a commission if you refer someone to a purchase. As an example, on my website I give away a lot of free useful tips about visiting Bangkok (http://migrationology.com/bangkok-thailand-travel-guide/). And I also recommend a few hotels which, some of which I've previously stayed at, and others which I've just visit and highly recommend. So if you were to click one of the links and book that hotel, I would get a small commission as a referral. I only recommend things that I use myself or trust. 2. My premium travel and food guides - The biggest way I make money while traveling is by selling my premium travel and food guides (http://migrationology.com/travel-guides/). Right now I have the Bangkok 101 things to do guide, Eating Thai Food Guide, Vegetarian Thai Food Guide, and the Delhi travel guide, and I'm working on more. I prefer to sell my own guides than doing advertising on my website, because I can trust in the quality of my own guides. 3. Freelance writing - As a result of first starting my travel blog back in 2009, I've had the opportunity to do numerous freelance writing projects, some big and some small. I've written for a few inflight magazines, as well as CNN Travel, and various other newspapers, magazines, and websites. I used to dislike writing, but the more I started blogging about thing I really enjoyed (like food) the more I enjoyed it. And after committing to it and blogging, I've been able to connect with so many others and had chances to write for many places. A blog is a great way for you to have a public profile of your expertise. 4. Video, YouTube - Finally, the fourth way of how I make money while traveling and blogging is through videos. I made the decision to start making videos and I have committed to it. Ads on some of my videos is another chunk of my monthly income. Along with how to make money while traveling and blogging, it's also important to say how I can afford to travel? Most of the money my wife and I make now goes back into our traveling and eating. However, it's all about your priorities. We don't own a car and pay for gas, and instead we choose to buy plane tickets and eat street food. You have to set your own goals and priorities and live intentionally to pursue them. Mentioned in the video: My travel guides: http://migrationology.com/travel-guides/ My travel resources: http://migrationology.com/travel-resources/ Learn to make a succesful travel blog (especially recommended if you're starting out): https://travelblogsuccess.com/?ref=18 [affiliate] Getting a job on a cruise ship: https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?ii=875328&c=ib&aff=168630&cl=120607 [affiliate] (Some things listed here, if you invest in it, I will get a commission, but these are all things I personally stand behind and recommend) Music in this video courtesy of Audio Network Get my FREE street food guide: http://wp.me/Psd9b-4pl Follow my adventures on http://migrationology.com/blog & http://www.eatingthaifood.com/blog/ Again, be sure to check out these two posts: ►How you can make money while traveling: http://migrationology.com/2014/02/how-to-make-money-while-traveling/ ►How to start a travel blog (or a blog about anything you want): http://migrationology.com/2015/04/how-to-start-a-travel-blog/
